About Us
Coolfactor was founded on the 6th January 1982 by electrical engineer Tony Phillp and mechanical engineer John Bryant who met whilst working for a specialist mechanical and electrical engineering contractor.
Tony and John developed Coolfactor into a formidable company specialising in commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical engineering, building refurbishment and data cabling.
Sadly John passed away in November 2007 and, as Tony was approaching retirement, the company was acquired by PH Jones Group Limited in March 2008.
Joining the PH Jones Group of Companies was a natural fit. PH Jones is a family owned and managed organisation and has provided further opportunity for business growth.
Organic growth – our history
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, we expanded steadily through developing internal resources and enhancing existing services. Expansion was largely a result of client retention with gradual new business.
We remained focussed on developing long standing business relationships with our clients by continuing to deliver exceptional service levels with value for money solutions.
Service enhancement – specialist trades and turnkey solutions
Whilst originally specialising in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) as well as electrical installation and maintenance, in the early 1990s we established a Data & Communications Division rapidly gaining Systimax accreditation.
In 2000 the company added Building Refurbishment to its range of services and for the past 8 years we have provided ‘turnkey’ solutions offering combined mechanical and electrical (M&E), HVAC/R, building services and data cabling installation services. This has led to the development of Integrated Solutions largely consisting of refresh and refit works and complete refurbishment projects to corporate office environments involving multiple trades.
Trading for over 26 years, we are delighted that many of our original clients remain with us today.
